On 26 July 2026, Uganda hosted the 4th Annual Parliamentary Walk Against Malaria in Kampala, bringing together thousands of citizens, Members of Parliament, government officials, and health partners in a united effort to combat malaria.
Led by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, participants completed a 5‑kilometre walk through the streets of Kampala under the theme “Walk the Talk: End Malaria in Schools Now.”
Among the participants was TMR International Hospital, which reaffirmed its commitment to improving healthcare access and supporting national efforts to eliminate malaria. During the event, the hospital promoted the TMR Golden Living App, a digital healthcare solution designed to provide convenient access to medical services. The app enables users to consult qualified doctors remotely, book appointments, request ambulance services during emergencies, access laboratory services, receive prescriptions, and manage their healthcare from anywhere.
TMR International Hospital’s participation underscored the importance of leveraging technology to enhance healthcare delivery, particularly in responding to emergencies and ensuring timely access to quality medical care. The event also served as an opportunity to educate the public on malaria prevention while encouraging the use of innovative digital health solutions that improve health outcomes.
The Annual Parliamentary Walk Against Malaria continues to demonstrate the power of collaboration between government, healthcare institutions, and development partners in advancing Uganda’s fight against malaria and building healthier communities.
