Child & Adolescent Mental Health

Children and adolescents may express mental health difficulties in different ways, including withdrawal, anxiety, low mood, school challenges, behaviour changes or trouble coping with daily demands.

Our clinical psychology service supports younger patients and their families through assessment, guidance and practical mental health follow-up.

This service may help with

  • Child and adolescent anxiety or low mood
  • Behavioural and emotional difficulties
  • School-related stress or adjustment challenges
  • Attention, developmental or social concerns requiring psychological input
  • Family guidance around a child's mental wellbeing

How support is delivered

  • Age-appropriate assessment and discussion
  • Review of behaviour, mood and daily functioning
  • Guidance for parents or caregivers where needed
  • Recommendations for follow-up support or referral
  • Coordination with other clinical services when appropriate

We aim to create a supportive environment where children, adolescents and caregivers can access help early and with dignity.
