Mountains of the Moon Marathon: Running for Maternal Health

On 6th August 2022, Fort Portal Tourism City saw runners, well-wishers & sponsors join the TMR Foundation in the maiden Mountains of the Moon Marathon, to give hope to the vulnerable mothers in Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital.
The run was flagged off by Hon. Alex Ruhunda at 7am.
The 21km run wove through the beautiful ranges of the famous Rwenzori Mountain. The 10km run ended at the only School, the serene infectiously beautiful academic giant Nyakasura School. These were led by the Deputy Headmaster.
Thereafter, the team, led by the TMR Foundation Director, Dr. Daniel M. Talemwa and the Deputy RCC, Fort Portal city paid a visit to the Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital. Here, they were warmly welcomed by the Deputy Director of the Hospital, Dr. Kaliisa. They handed over Mama kits amidst great appreciation.
We would like to appreciate everyone who supported this cause, both corporate entities and individuals, without whom the marathon would not have been a success.
