Role Responsibilities

Support antenatal, labour, delivery and postnatal care in line with safe maternity practice.
Monitor mothers and newborns, provide education and escalate concerns appropriately.
Work with obstetricians, nurses and paediatric teams to ensure coordinated maternal care.

Educational Requirements

Recognised qualification in midwifery.
Valid registration and practising licence.
Training in emergency obstetric care is an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

Relevant maternity care experience in a hospital or busy clinical setting.
Ability to provide patient education and family-centred support throughout admission.

Additional Requirements

Warm communication, strong clinical judgement and careful documentation.
Commitment to respectful maternity care and patient dignity.
